Black, Ernie

Ernie Black arrived at Carlisle Indian School on October 27, 1879.  Ernie would leave the school on June 14, 1887.  An after report show that Ernie Black had been living in Cantonment and Longdale, Oklahoma and was working as a interpreter from the years 1910 to 1914.  In 1917 Ernie Black was apart of a delegation to Washington D.C. to discuss the claims of the Black Hills with President Wilson.
