Frank Cayou arrived at the Carlisle Indian School on October 8, 1893 and would graduate on 1896 though he would leave the school on September 8, 1899. Cayou would after leaving Carlisle attended Dickinson College Preparatory school (Conway Hall) and after that attending the University of Illinois. He would become the athletic director at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1907 and at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1909 and 1913. Then Cayou would work with A. G. Spaulding and Bros. in Chicago, Illinois in 1915.
