Colonel Horn arrived at the Carlisle Indian School on September 15, 1889.  He would leave the school in on July 2, 1891.  Colonel Horn married fellow student Maud Chief Killer and they both would teach at the Cheyenne school sometime in 1893.  Also it should be said that Colonels name is sometimes written as Colonel Elk Horn or Colonel E.
