James Santiago Luther arrived at the Carlisle Indian School on August 23, 1906 and would leave the school on August 31, 1909. The schools follow up reports shows that James was working at a railroad company in Gallup, New Mexico in 1911. Then he would go to run a blacksmith and carpenter shop in Casa Blanca, New Mexico in 1912. The last thing we know about James is that he went to work for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fa Railway Co. in Riverbank, California in 1913.
