Hawley Pierce arrived at the Carlisle Indian School on September 16, 1892 and would leave the school on December 15, 1904. The schools follow up report shows that Hawley was working as a engineer on the Buffalo, Rochester, and Pittsburgh Rail Road. Then Hawley had begun to live in Salamanca, New York in 1913.
