Ben Skenandore arrived at the Carlisle Indian School on January 4, 1913 and would leave the school on July 29, 1916. The schools follow up report showed that Ben worked for the Ford Motor Co. in Detroit, Michigan in 1915 and 1916. Then in 1917, was living in West DePere, Wisconsin.
