Ida Swallow arrived at Carlisle on August 28, 1895 and graduated in 1901. After graduating from Carlisle Indian School went on to Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1902. From there she went on to work as a assistant clerk at the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania from 1902-1905. Ida then worked as a bookkeeper, clerk, and store manager in Oelrichs, South Dakota in 1907. Then would settle it seems in Harviell, Missouri in 1915.
