Alex Wakeman arrived on December 1, 1913 at Carlisle Indian School. The records don’t have on hand when Alex had either left or graduated from Carlisle Indian School. Though we do have a mention of Alex Wakeman where he and several other Indian from the school won premiums at the Cumberland County Fair, for Alex won because of oil and water colored paintings he had made. Though his name does show up again in files from 1918, where he is indicated in being drafted while training at the Indian School in Flandreau, South Dakota.
