Wakeman, Jesse

Jesse Wakeman arrived at Carlisle Indian School on January 11, 1910.  While at the school Jesse had worked for a time as a interpreter for Sioux at the Land Office in Washington, played the violin, was part of the Invincible Debating Society, and was part of the track team.  Then when Jesse Wakeman left Carlisle Indian School, went to work at the athletics department of the YMCA in Sisseton, South Dakota in 1914.  Jesse Wakeman then ended up living in Flandreau, South Dakota in 1916.
