Winnesheik – General Pratt in Uniform
Published copy of a formal portrait of General Richard Henry Pratt in uniform taken in 1898. This photo appears to have been cut out of one of the school’s publications. Under the photo is the word CARLISLE that was also cut from a publication. Winneshiek used these items inside the cover of his photo album to introduce the photo collection. Beside the photo is a clipped article about the closing of the school when the school grounds were taken over by the War Department in 1918.
